In 2026 I Want - An IFS x Desire New Years Workshop
So much of New Years resolution/reflection culture is about being more virtuous, more restrictive, controlling more, working harder. But none of this is how to actually build a life you want — a life that feels good.
You find a life you want by listening to what what feels good and what doesn’t feel good, listening to your desires and needs, and learning to care for yourself generously.
Through meditation, writing, and sharing, we’ll use tools from Internal Family Systems to connect with your pleasures and longings in 2025, and what different parts of you desire for you in 2026.
And, connecting with pleasure and desire can be tender. Other parts might come up with grief about what they long for and haven’t gotten, with fears about what it might be like if you stepped towards what parts of you want, with fear and shame about pleasure and wanting at all. We’ll also spend time learning how to care for these parts who may have grief, fear, and inherited burdens around pleasure and desire.
You’ll leave this workshop more connected to your pleasures and desires, knowing the different parts of yourself more intimately, and with more trust, safety, confidence, and aliveness in yourself.
I can’t wait to support you to connect with what you want, what you don’t want, what feels good, and anything that needs care for you to move towards this.
Wear something that feels good, bring a festive bev, we might dance a little, it’s gonna be great.
